LANACOME and Camtrade Pass launch a national campaign to support “Made in Cameroon” producers and processors

A new step towards improving the quality, conformity and competitiveness of Cameroonian products

Yaoundé, 16 June 2026 — The National Laboratory for Drug Quality Control and Expertise (LANACOME) hosted, at its premises in Mballa, Yaoundé, the official launch of the National Campaign for Training, On-Site Assessment of Production Facilities and Analysis of “Made in Cameroon” Consumer Products. The initiative is conducted in partnership with PIPRA Cameroun S.A. through its CAMTRADE PASS platform.

The meeting brought together a broad range of stakeholders in Cameroon’s productive ecosystem, including representatives of public administrations, professional organisations, support structures and the media, as well as leaders of SMEs, microenterprises, cooperatives and processing units committed to promoting Made in Cameroon.

Practical support for producers and processors

This national campaign aims to strengthen local companies’ capabilities so that they can better meet requirements for quality, regulatory conformity, traceability and market access.

Through this initiative, LANACOME and CAMTRADE PASS intend to bring producers closer to the assessment, analysis and technical support mechanisms essential to the continuous improvement of their products.

The objective is to help Cameroonian businesses better understand the national and international standards applicable to their sectors and implement the adjustments needed to increase their competitiveness.

An initial training session focused on the essential challenges of bringing products to market

During the capacity-building workshop organised as part of the launch, several strategic topics were discussed with participants.

The sessions covered in particular:

  • Requirements relating to production and product conformity;
  • Good practices for meeting quality standards;
  • Rules for labelling consumer products;
  • Developing action plans adapted to the realities of Cameroonian microenterprises and SMEs;
  • Exchanges of experience between experts and economic operators.

This practical approach aims to provide concrete solutions to the difficulties faced every day by local producers and processors.

A shared vision to strengthen Made in Cameroon

Through this collaboration, LANACOME and CAMTRADE PASS reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting the development of a more effective national production base, capable of meeting consumer expectations and entering new markets in Cameroon, across Africa and internationally.

The campaign forms part of a broader effort to promote locally manufactured products and an economy founded on quality, trust and innovation.

Momentum intended to reach the whole country

Activities planned under the national campaign will include training sessions, assessments at production sites, product analyses and technical support for participating businesses.

The ambition is to gradually create a nationwide community of producers and processors committed to continuous quality improvement and conformity with market requirements.

Through CAMTRADE PASS, PIPRA Cameroun S.A. is thus pursuing its mission to promote traceability, commercial trust and market access for Made in Cameroon products.

“Together, let us build a stronger, more competitive Made in Cameroon, with greater recognition in national and international markets.”
