Promoting “Made in Cameroon”: PIPRA Cameroun S.A. and MINPMEESA lay the foundations for a strategic partnership around Camtrade Pass
Yaoundé, 7 July 2026 — On the express instructions of the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA), a high-level delegation from PIPRA Cameroun S.A., led by its Chairman of the Board, was received today at the ministry’s headquarters by the Director of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and her team.
This technical and highly strategic meeting, lasting more than an hour, marks a decisive turning point in operational support for SMEs, microenterprises, and social economy and handicraft stakeholders throughout the country.
Camtrade Pass at the heart of the discussions
The discussions focused primarily on Camtrade Pass, an innovative support scheme led by PIPRA Cameroun S.A. in close technical collaboration with the Ministry of Trade. Designed as a growth accelerator, Camtrade Pass aims to help Cameroonian entrepreneurs organise and professionalise their businesses and access local and international markets.
During the working session, the Director of SMEs expressed her strong satisfaction with the initiative’s particularly encouraging initial results. She welcomed the project’s comprehensive, multidimensional approach, which addresses the entire value chain: from organising microenterprises and promoting artisanal products to strengthening the capabilities of SMEs in the social economy.
Towards a long-term partnership agreement
The alignment between MINPMEESA’s vision and the momentum generated by PIPRA Cameroun S.A. opens up significant opportunities. The Director of SMEs proposed establishing avenues for lasting collaboration, with a long-term framework agreement between the two institutions expected to be signed in the near future.
This formal framework will multiply the impact of Camtrade Pass by drawing on the ministry’s nationwide network and incubation programmes.
Recognition of fieldwork and renewed commitment
The Director warmly congratulated PIPRA Cameroun S.A.’s Chairman and all his teams for the outstanding, practical work already accomplished on the ground. She reiterated the ministry’s wish to build a strong, locally rooted partnership to accelerate the performance, competitiveness and lasting development of the “Made in Cameroon” label.
After an hour and ten minutes of substantive, pragmatic discussions, the two delegations concluded the meeting with a clear work schedule. Technical sessions will take place in the coming days to translate the priority areas of their shared roadmap into action.
For PIPRA Cameroun S.A., this audience confirms its role as a key private-sector participant serving the public–private entrepreneurial ecosystem and Cameroon’s sustainable economic development.
