Institutional partnership: MINPMEESA welcomes the impact and innovation of PIPRA Cameroun SA’s initiatives
Yaoundé, June 2026 — As part of the rollout of its innovative solutions for organising and financing the local economy, a high-level delegation from PIPRA Cameroun SA was received at the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA).
Led by the Chairman of the Board, Mr Armand Gaetan NGUETI, accompanied by his Special Adviser, Mr Arnold BALEP, the delegation held extensive discussions with the Head of the Division of Studies, Projects and Forward Planning (DEPP) and his close colleagues.
Camtrade Pass at the heart of the discussions
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the particularly positive progress of the Camtrade Pass initiative. The Chairman highlighted the expanding ecosystem around the project, reflected in:
- Strategic collaborations already operational with the Ministry of Trade and the National Laboratory for Drug Quality Control and Expertise (LANACOME).
- A strong presence on the ground, supported by solid partnerships with producer organisations, incubator networks and consumer associations.
Backed by figures, the presentation of the initiative’s results demonstrated Camtrade Pass’s tangible impact on the promotion and conformity of local products.
Financial innovation for craftspeople and SMEs
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of Camtrade Pass Finance. This innovative solution, specifically designed to address the major challenge of access to financing for craftspeople and local SMEs, attracted strong interest from the Director of DEPP.
“This mechanism provides a practical response tailored to the realities of our local entrepreneurs.” — DEPP, MINPMEESA.
Towards swift formalisation of the partnership
The discussions also opened immediate opportunities for collaboration, particularly around the ministry’s forthcoming publication of the SME statistical yearbook. Recognising the value of PIPRA Cameroun SA’s data and expertise, the Director expressed the ministry’s firm intention to maintain regular exchanges and swiftly formalise the partnership through a strategic agreement.
This productive meeting, which concluded with a commitment to a further audience, marks a decisive step in aligning PIPRA Cameroun SA with Cameroon’s national objectives for the development, modernisation and financing of SMEs and handicrafts.
