The Minister of Trade of the Republic of Cameroon, Mr Luc Magloire ATANGANA MBARGA, received Mr Armand Gaetan NGUETI, Chairman of the Board of PIPRA Cameroun S.A., in a special audience on Tuesday, 11 November 2025. The meeting lasted approximately an hour and took place in a cordial atmosphere.
The discussions focused mainly on the overall implementation report for Camtrade Pass, an initiative carried out by PIPRA Cameroun S.A. with institutional support from the Ministry of Trade.
Mr NGUETI presented a detailed analysis of the initiative’s impact on Cameroonian trade during the first ten months of its pilot deployment, together with the transformations and innovations it has brought about on the ground.
The initiative’s main objective is to guarantee traceability, transparency and security in the target markets for Made in Cameroon products. It also aims to improve the quality, conformity and commercial performance of Made in Cameroon stakeholders.
The exchanges also addressed the initiative’s future. Its development direction appealed to the minister, who welcomed the plan presented by the Chairman and expressed satisfaction with the results achieved to date. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, to supporting private-sector initiatives, particularly those led by young people and foreign investors.
The future of collaboration between PIPRA Cameroun S.A. and the ministry was also discussed, with a commitment to strengthen cooperation in the coming days. The minister concluded the session on a positive note, encouraging Mr NGUETI and his teams to maintain their momentum.
Mr NGUETI expressed his gratitude for the minister’s leadership and commitment to developing initiatives such as Camtrade Pass. The audience concluded with a promise of a further meeting.
