OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The Ministry of Trade supports the first CAMTRADE PASS FESTIVAL
We are pleased to announce that Cameroon’s Ministry of Trade has officially granted its institutional sponsorship to the first CAMTRADE PASS FESTIVAL, to be held on 19 and 20 December 2024 in Yaoundé at the UBUNTU Creativity Hub in Melen, Montée du Parc.
Through an approval letter issued on 19 November 2024, the Ministry of Trade reaffirmed its commitment to supporting this historic event dedicated to promoting “Made in Cameroon” arts, products and services.
Organised by PIPRA Cameroun S.A. in close collaboration with public authorities, the CAMTRADE PASS FESTIVAL aims to:
- Strengthen trust in the “Made in Cameroon” label through blockchain, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies via the CAMTRADE PASS platform.
- Reinvigorate the “Made in Cameroon” movement by bringing producers, craftspeople and final consumers closer together.
- Facilitate access to national and international markets for local producers and craftspeople.
The event marks a decisive step in promoting the local economy and modernising commercial processes in Cameroon, putting technology at the service of innovation and sustainable development.
The CAMTRADE PASS FESTIVAL forms part of a shared vision of economic transformation with the Ministry of Trade, making the “Made in Cameroon” label a symbol of quality, trust and international competitiveness.
We invite producers, craftspeople, partners and everyone who loves “Made in Cameroon” to join us in celebrating this unique event.
Meet us on 19 and 20 December 2024 in Yaoundé to write a new chapter in Cameroon’s economic history together!
