Executive summary and detailed programme

Event: Foire-Expo du 237 Training — the Made in Cameroon revolution is underway.

1. Executive summary

As part of the expansion of Camtrade Pass activities, a “Foire-Expo du 237 Training” event is organised from 27 to 29 November 2025 in Yaoundé. This strategic event combines high-level training for producers with a public trade fair and exhibition dedicated to “Made in Cameroon”.

The event will take place at two complementary venues:

  • Training: GRACES Hôtel, Carrefour Paradis, Ngousso.
  • Exhibition: the Carrefour Paradis esplanade in Ngousso, a high-traffic area.

The main objective is to strengthen local producers’ capabilities by training them in the prerequisites for laboratory testing under the PIPRA/LANACOME partnership and in adopting modern traceability standards.

Four umbrella organisations — COPEMIC, FAFE, FUTPAC and FABEC — are mobilised to ensure the participation of craftspeople and producers. The event is enhanced by the participation of the Ministry of Trade and Cameroon’s National Consumer Network (RNC), strategic partners with which Camtrade Pass is currently deploying a national consumer protection platform.

The event is also open to any other organisation working to promote “Made in Cameroon”.

2. Key objectives

For producers — training

  • Mastering LANACOME prerequisites: train producers in LANACOME’s specific requirements for product testing.
  • Cost optimisation: provide the information needed to group analytical files and reduce costs.
  • Technical management: explain testing procedures and batch-number management.
  • Collaboration with GS1: raise awareness of the impact of GS1 Cameroon / Camtrade Pass collaboration on multidimensional traceability.

For the public — exhibition

  • Promotion: showcase “Made in Cameroon” products.
  • Awareness: communicate the importance of organic products and buying locally.
  • Demonstration and protection: teach consumers to use the Camtrade Pass platform to scan products, and present the new consumer protection platform deployed with the Ministry of Trade and RNC.
