PIPRA Cameroun S.A.
Joint information notice No. 001 — National Consumer Network (RNC) / PIPRA Cameroun SA
To optimise its efforts in fulfilling its statutory responsibilities to defend consumers’ rights and interests, Cameroon’s National Consumer Network (RNC) has signed a strategic partnership with PIPRA CAMEROUN SA, in strict compliance with the laws and regulations in force and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the United Nations (UN).
The two parties are joining forces to pool their respective efforts and achieve the objectives each has set for more effective consumer protection. They will use modern, revolutionary tools, digital technology and above all artificial intelligence through CAMTRADE PASS, the electronic passport for Cameroonian trade. It is a traceability tool for goods and services offered to Cameroonian consumers by national producers and by international producers through imports.
For Cameroon’s National Consumer Network (RNC), the aim is to go further in its statutory responsibilities by also incorporating protection of the national local economy, with a view to improving GDP and, consequently, increasing Cameroonian consumers’ purchasing power — a major act of ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM.
