Strategic partnership: PIPRA Cameroun S.A. and LANACOME shape the future of quality and traceability in Cameroon

Yaoundé, 1 April 2025 — A historic milestone has been reached for Cameroon’s productive sector. As part of efforts to strengthen local products’ competitiveness, the Chairman of the Board of PIPRA Cameroun S.A. and the Director General of LANACOME have formalised the operational launch of collaboration between the Camtrade Pass initiative and the National Laboratory for Drug Quality Control and Expertise.

On Wednesday, 1 April 2025, LANACOME’s premises hosted a high-level technical working session. The PIPRA Cameroun S.A. delegation, led by its Chairman of the Board, accompanied by the General Coordinator of Camtrade Pass and his Special Adviser, was received by LANACOME’s Director General, joined for the occasion by her experts and technical team.

A decisive turning point for Camtrade Pass

The central objective of the meeting was clear: the official operational launch of collaboration between Camtrade Pass and LANACOME. After months of preparation, this working session marks the move to action for a partnership that promises to transform the local economy.

The discussions defined the practical arrangements for operational deployment of this alliance across the local producer ecosystem. Whether in agriculture, handicrafts or industry, all producer organisations are now included in this advanced certification and monitoring framework.

Transparency, security and traceability: the three pillars of success

The relationship between PIPRA Cameroun S.A., through Camtrade Pass, and LANACOME is now fully functional. It rests on three fundamental pillars intended to reassure both national and international markets:

  • Transparency: clear access to information about product conformity.
  • Security: assurance that products born of Cameroonian ingenuity meet the strictest health and quality standards.
  • Traceability: the ability to track each product from its origin to the final consumer, using Camtrade Pass’s technological tools.

A direct benefit for all Cameroonians

For PIPRA Cameroun S.A.’s Chairman, this collaboration is a victory for “Made in Cameroon”. Combining LANACOME’s technical inspection expertise with Camtrade Pass’s logistical and digital capabilities gives local producers an unprecedented growth lever.

“This collaboration is more than the signing of a protocol; it is an immediate operational commitment for the benefit of all Cameroonians,” participants emphasised during the session.

Through this agreement, PIPRA Cameroun S.A. reaffirms its role as a major participant in organising domestic and foreign trade, offering local sectors a secure platform to promote their expertise while protecting public health.
